Proven leadership in designing successful local governance and decentralization platforms in Jordan and Kosovo. Serving as a senior strategy advisor to the National Democratic Institute, office in Jordan, Government of Jordan and Government of Kosovo. Provided briefings on local government reform to US Ambassador in Jordan, USAID Mission Director, Royal Court of Jordan and Jordan’s key policy makers, including the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the Parliament.

Managed decentralization reform interventions within the respective local government systems, including the designing of the criteria’s for establishment of new municipalities, capacity building needs, public financial management principles and devolution of municipal authorities.

From December 2004 until January 2008 served as senior political advisor during the mandate of three Prime Ministers of Kosovo, which included managing several Kosovo government programs aimed at fostering the political reform and transition process, the implementation of the UN and EU standards, as well as a year-long strategic government-led project on 'Roadmap to Effective Decentralization’. Since 2008 served as the Executive Director of Kosovo Local Government Institute (KLGI), a professional think-tank on local governance and decentralization including issues related to local democracy and citizen participation. Extended experience serving as a consultant for key international organizations, including OSCE, SDC, NDI, IMF and UNDP.

Extensive experience on teaching, lecturing and moderating skills, including designing of tailored training program for municipalities in Kosovo and Jordan. Serve as the Director of the Local Government Academy-an academic program by Norwegian Embassy, Friedrich Ebert Stiftung and British Council, with its own distinct syllabus for municipal senior servants. Served as a program manager of 14 Democratization Centers responsible for citizen participation and citizen-based advocacy campaigns. Proven track record of working across cultural, ethnic and religious divides.

Holds an MSc on Decentralized Government and International Development from the University of Birmingham, UK.  Holds a Diploma from Academic Education Program on Democratization and Civil Society, from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). Certified International Evaluator, by the International Development Evaluation Association (IDEAS), based in Carlton University in Ottawa, Canada.
