Tahiri: Religious dogma can be fought only by education

At the University of Jordan, the founder of IGCG, Prof. Besnik Tahiri stated that 'In the World of information, pragmatic civic awareness and capacity building for our youth are of essential importance to counter religious and moral dogma'.

The Executive Director of Kosovo Local Government Institute, Mr. Besnik Tahiri has posted an interesting note. After giving a lecture to the students in the University of Jordan, Tahiri has emphasized that religious dogma can be fought only by education.

In the world of open information access, the development of human capacities continues to be a serious issue for developing and transitioning countries. As seen from the evidence on the field, the focus on building human capacities of youth is a much more sustainable and productive option in development and as well as in combating all forms of extremism, including religious dogma. At the University of Jordan, during the lecture and the discussion, I saw a positive energy and determination for work and advocacy regarding reforms in both governance and other sectors.
